Once the deed is done and Diana starts speaking to him, he realises he may have been wrong after all and sets out to save Victoria to make up for misunderstanding his own loyalties and not valuing Diana as much as he should have.

In the mission he's partly proving to himself he "can do whatever paid to", and takes the shot eventhough his hand is shaky. 47 thinks he is cynical enough to kill his former handler without remorse, maybe even thinks Diana saved him only to save herself and her organization, but on some level even he recognizes the doubt in his mind. Without reading the book mentioned above, I interpreted the Diana killing job as 47 following his calling and creed: Diana had betrayed her allies (justifiable cause) and someone put a hit on him (a call to practice his professionalism). But he has been shown to choose against it too after the first game. He kills for the Agency because it's what he has been bred and trained to do, and he is the best at it.

Actually I think it's established in the storyline that 47 has free will, which is the reason the Ortmeier project was continued even after he was released. I have to respectfully disagree with the previous post.

If you are a real gamer, ie someone that knows games are about gameplay not graphics, i suggest playing through the hitman games from the first one, there is ofcourse more then the graphics being dated, the controls are.well they take getting used to lol but they are all good games, i really should play through this one again (completed it on the ps3 but got it as a gift on steam) well if i have no emotions why do i save the girl? this stumped me for a bit then it hit me.Dianna, the voice that has given you so many missions, the voice of the agency as far as you are concerned told you to. So why kill her when told to? because you have no emotions.none you were ordered to kill her thats what you will do. in one game she helped you avoid being killed for example, and warned you in others. You are agent 47, the number is not random, there were (are?) other agents, you were raised to be what you are, a hitman (theres some genetic cloning in there too in one of the games i think, were going back a long way) the agency gives you assignments your kind of programmed to accept them, there is no choice there.ĭianna has been your handler for many many years, she is the voice you hear in the breifings etc, and across the games she has got more and more friendly, i mean i wouldnt say she loves you, more mother and child relationship, she is protective of you. Ok this is spoilers of some of the old games but its relevent and from memory My point is that playing blood money, I knew Diana was saving me and I knew she was on my side doing some sneaky stuff when you saw her feet walking alongside Mr FBI Wheelchair, I had an understanding that we were on the same side and we were against the world, and suddenly in the sequel I'm blindly accepting a contract to kill her, and have been force fed false information by Moustache Joe in the helicopter who tells me she's committed treason against the agency or whatever. I'm not skipping cinematics, but I am equally lost and confused while watching them as I am playing afterwards. Next missions are about you escaping the agency and finding out where the girl isīut if you dont like the gameplay id tell you to play hitman contracts instead :pĪ lot of people dindt like this game (its got TONS of hate) due to how much it changed

are you skipping cinematics or what? you get a contract to kill diana so you do it and she tells you to protect that teenage girl What the hell.Įscrito originalmente por 5M0k1N:yea its very diffierent but the story is pretty simple. I feel like I'm being dropped into a shiny sewer system every 5 minutes with cops to outrun. Is this game anything like blood money at all? If not then I do not understand whats going on and would like it explained to me. Is there ever a contract where you actually have a purpose of being somewhere, like Blood Money? All the mechanics have changed, I really don't understand whats going on in Absolution. When the game suddenly drops me in a new mission/level, I have no idea where I am, or why I am there, or whats happening, all I see is a level to traverse in front of me, and I've no idea whats going on? Its as if the cutscenes are speaking a foriegn language. Absolution however, as pretty as it is, I have no idea whats happening in the story, who is this girl i'm protecting and why? why was I forced to kill Diana even though I knew she saved my life? why did I suddenly take her dying wish to heart?
